Volvo Cars Price Hike: Volvo Car India has hiked the prices of its mild-hybrid models on Wednesday, February 22. In order to offset the impact of the duty hike in the Budget, the Swedish carmaker increased the price by up to 2 per cent.
“The changes in customs duty as announced in the recent budget has resulted in an increase in input costs of our petrol mild-hybrid models. This has resulted towards marginally increasing the price of our mild hybrids,” Volvo Car India Managing Director Jyoti Malhotra said.
Volvo mild hybrid Range – New Price
The prices of the mild hybrid variants of XC40, XC60, S90 and XC90 have been increased by 1-2 per cent, the automaker said in a statement.
Subsequent to the price increase, the ex-showroom price of the XC40 B4 Mild Hybrid will be Rs 46.4 lakh; XC60 B5 Mild Hybrid at Rs 67.5 lakh; the S90 B5 Mild Hybrid at Rs 67.9 lakh; the XC90 B6 Mild Hybrid at Rs 98.5 lakh, according to PTI.

About Volvo mild hybrid Range
Volvo launched its mild hybrid range in the month of September, last year at a starting price of Rs 45.90 lakh (ex-showroom). This range includes XC40, XC60, XC90 and S90. Volvo’s newly launched pure electric SUV XC40 Recharge, all other petrol mild- hybrids namely, XC90 SUV, the mid-size SUV XC60, the compact luxury SUV XC40 and the luxury sedan S90, are being locally assembled at the Bengaluru plant.
Volvo XC40
The company launched the Volvo XC40 at a price of Rs 45.90 lakh (ex-showroom). The 5-seater XC40 is available in 5 exciting colors – crystal white, saga green, fusion red, onyx black and fjord blue. The fuel consumption of the vehicle is 13km/l.Old Price: Rs 45.90 lakhNew Price: Rs 46.4 lakh
Volvo XC60
The company launched the Volvo XC60 at a price of Rs 65.90 lakh (ex-showroom). The Volvo XC60 is also available in 5-seater option and 5 colors options. However, the colours are different from XC40. Volvo S90
The company launched the Volvo S90 at a price of Rs 66.90 lakh (ex-showroom). Volvo XC90
The company launched the Volvo XC90 at a price of Rs 94.90 lakh (ex-showroom). Unlike others, the XC90 is available in a 7-seater option.
